Out with the old, in with the new

We did it! It has taken some time, but we have a new site for everyone to view and enjoy. We’ve been busy that last while, and unfortunately, as it goes, some things get put off for far too long.  We’re going to miss the old girl. She wasn’t much of a looker, and most of you probably never saw her, but she was there, holding down the fort with the strength of ten sites.

Our new site is much better looking and way more functional than the last. That said, we’re still test driving it, so bare with us while we get everything sorted out and put away in its proper place. A website is like a home, it’s never really finished. There is always something new to hang on the wall, or in the case of this amazing site, a blog post, or more detail on the great communications services we offer.

Which leads me to our new services (talk about a great segue!). You may have noticed that we are now offering a few more services on top of the already impressive Telephone Town Hall platform. Our communications arsenal has expanded to help benefit your needs. We are happy to announce that we are now offering an in-bound Telephone Town Hall platform, called MicroForum. MicroForum still offers all of the great features and benefits as a normal Telephone Town Hall, but the size has been scaled down, and instead of dialing out to participants, they dial in. It works just like a standard conference call, but you have the ability to have up to 500 people dial in at one time. It is a powerful tool, and a great way for organizations like associations, corporations, franchises, and not for profit groups to hold smaller, more interactive sessions.

The other service we are now providing is sales lead lists for both Business and Consumer. We are working with some of the best data people in the country who are able to provide us with some of the most accurate, and up-to-date data available. So, if you’re looking to grow your customer base, or reach out to new corporate clients, be sure to visit either the Business Lists page or the Consumer Lists page. Finally, we have done a lot of research, and it turns out, people are really into these social networking sites. I was told they were a fad, but I was clearly misinformed. Data Quality

data qualityData quality is the topic of this post. I have had the fortune (or misfortune, depending on who you ask) of working extensively with data for well over 10 years. I have seen all kinds of data files, good ones, bad ones, ones on 3.5 inch floppy disks, data on zip disks (remember zip disks? They looked like this), lists written down on paper, the lot. From all of these, there is one thing that is always true: Data Changes.

It has been said that within a 365 day period, the data of a town or city can change up to 20%. People move, change their phone number, get rid of their home phone, switch jobs, get too much spam and get a new email address. There are a number of reasons as to why data changes, but we know it does.

If you run a business, your data should always be top notch, but sadly, that isn’t the case with many businesses out there. The same came be said for many political parties where their work and voter ID efforts are centered around the data they keep. It’s an on-going task, which can become incredibly tedious if ignored for too long.

Garbage In, Garbage Out

 

dataThere is a saying when some speak about data, “garbage in, garbage out”, which basically means, if you have poor data, you’re going to see poor results. While a lot of companies or small businesses out there just don’t have the time to dedicate to data management and upkeep, there are other solutions and tools out there that can be used to help improve the quality of your data.

Two of the easiest steps you can take to help improve your data quality are, run your data through our NCOA program. NCOA stand for National Change Of Address, and this will tell you who in your data file no longer lives at the address you have for them, and we try our very best to get you the new address for that individual.

The second step is phone number appendages. What happens here, is we take your data file and run it against the master phone records. If you have data records where a phone number is missing, we will add it to the record (providing we have the number), or if a phone number has changed, we will make the change to your file. Our data experts continually update date files to ensure our data quality is the most accurate and up-to-date that it can be, so that you can grow your business, and continue to work with clients or customers you already have.

Back To Work

Summer is overWhile we may be jumping the gun a little bit with this title and image, it is true. Summer is coming to an end. We are all a bit sad about it, but on the plus side, everyone is now focusing their attention on what needs to be done in the work place over the next four months. This means getting that project done you’ve been putting off all summer long, as well as, planning what you need to do in 2014.

For us, it’s all hands on deck. During the summer a lot of organizations and political parties take a break from reaching out to their members or constituents. The reason for this is pretty simple. During the summer, most people aren’t paying attention to what is going on. They are enjoying their 2-3 month break from the hustle and bustle, and who can blame them?

Within the next 6 weeks, politicians will be heading back to their capital cities, buckling down, and doing what the people of their respected areas elected them to do. This also means public outreach and consultation.

We feel that our Telephone Town Hall platform is the best tool to use to let your constituents know what is on the agenda for the next few months, as well as being able to speak directly to the people of your area and find out what issues they may be dealing with, and how you, as their representative, can help.
